SUNY New Paltz students showcased their research at the 2018 Student Research Symposium.

More than 1,100 students were named to the Spring 2018 Dean's List at Hudson Valley Community College.

SUNY New Paltz recognizes first-year students who took advantage of on-campus internship opportunities with alumni employees in the spring 2018 semester.

More than 200 SUNY Oneonta students were selected to present at the 2018 SUNY Undergraduate Research Conference (SURC), hosted by SUNY Oneonta on April 20. Students from 28 SUNY colleges and universities presented 179 research projects in two poster sessions, and another 100 projects in oral presentations throughout the day. Every spring, SURC brings together undergraduate researchers and faculty mentors for two daylong programs of presentations, performances, art displays and poster sessions held on two separate campuses. The second SURC event was April 21, at Monroe Community College in Rochester.

Approximately 1,183 students were eligible to walk in Coastal Carolina University's graduation exercises, held on campus at the HTC Student Recreation Center and Convocation Center in three separate ceremonies May 4-5.

SUNY New Paltz recognizes motivated first-year students who completed the Emerging Leaders program in spring 2018.

Twenty four peer tutors through SUNY Oneonta's Center for Academic Development & Enrichment have attained National Tutoring Association Level 1 Certification. In addition to being recommended as a peer tutor by a faculty member in each department for which the tutor provides tutoring, these tutors have completed at least eight hours of training and have completed at least 10 hours of supervised tutoring. Their Level 1 certification is valid for two years.

Students at Fairleigh Dickinson University's Florham Campus, located in Madison, NJ have been named to the Dean's and Honors Lists for the Fall 2017 semester.

SUNY Oneonta recognized more than 50 outstanding students during an Academic Achievement Awards reception on May 3. One to three students were chosen from each of the college's academic departments and programs to receive the 2018 Academic Achievement Awards. Each student selected one faculty guest to accompany them to the recognition event. In addition to their excellent work in the classroom, students were honored for distinguishing themselves in many ways, including research, activism, mentoring, athletics, involvement in campus activities and volunteerism.

SUNY New Paltz recognizes student e-board members of the American Marketing Association (AMA) for the spring 2018 semester.

SUNY New Paltz students are members of the School of Business Dean's Student Advisory Board in the fall 2017 and spring 2018 semesters.

30 student athletes competed for the SUNY Oneonta wrestling team during the recently completed winter season.

SUNY Oneonta recognized 35 student athletes by inducting them into Chi Alpha Sigma, the National College Athlete Honor Society, during a luncheon held on April 6. To qualify for induction a student athlete must have achieved at least junior standing with a cumulative 3.4 grade point average while earning two varsity letters in an NCAA intercollegiate sport. Each student athlete must also be of good moral character and have the endorsement of his/her coach and the Chapter President.

A total of 182 students received the SUNY Oneonta 2017-2018 Susan Sutton Smith Award for academic excellence. To be eligible for the award, a student must be a freshman, sophomore or junior with a grade-point average of 3.9 or higher.

12 SUNY Oneonta wrestlers received academic honors from the NWCA and ECWC.

SUNY New Paltz Business students represent SUNY New Paltz in the NGA Case Competition in Las Vegas, Nev.

The State University of New York at New Paltz, in association with Campus Auxiliary Services, proudly announces the recipients of the Jim Fredericks Student Employee Scholarship.

Eighteen students traveled to New Orleans from Feb. 24 to March 4 to complete wetlands restoration service-learning projects in the Lower Ninth Ward. Working with a nonprofit organization called Common Ground Relief, the students planted hardy, fast-growing native plants and removed invasive species in coastal areas imperiled by hurricanes, development and engineering projects that have eroded land and endangered wildlife.

SUNY New Paltz recognizes the work of Deyo Hall Resident Assistants (RAs) during the fall 2017 semester.

Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

More than 300 students met requirements for graduation from SUNY Oneonta following the Fall 2017 semester. Graduates were honored at a December recognition ceremony hosted by College President Nancy Kleniewski and held in the Dewar Arena of the Alumni Field House. They also are eligible to participate in the college's commencement on May 12.

Elizabethtown (Pa.) College announced the names of students whose outstanding academic performances have earned them the recognition of being included on the fall 2017 dean's list. Students on the dean's list are full-time undergraduate students who earn a semester grade point average of 3.60 or better in 14 or more credit hours, of which at least 12 credits are letter-graded course work.

The State University of New York at Geneseo has announced its Dean's List for the fall semester 2017. To be on the list, a student must have achieved at least a 3.5 grade point average while taking a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Twenty six SUNY Oneonta students attended The NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) Show in Anaheim, Calif., from Jan. 25 to 28. The annual trade show is a The NAMM Show is a place for professionals in the music industry to explore and discover innovative new products being released in the new year. The students got a firsthand look at how music retail and music business go hand-in-hand, testing out the latest products from more than 7,000 brands, attending cutting-edge industry education sessions and demonstrations, and seeing lots of live performances.
